The most beautiful section of the hike leads along the Pregnitz stream to Marienwerder. There you will find the oldest navigable canal in Germany with a lock that compensates about 5 m.
For a meal, we recommend the inn "Zum Goldenen Anker" located directly on the route in Marienwerder right by the canal.

From the starting point, the path leads over a beautiful forest trail to the southernmost point of the tour around the Mittelprendensee. Once there, a long, straight, well-maintained bike path through the forest leads to the Eiserbudersee. However, this is hardly used. At the forestry office, we then take the nature trail along the Pregnitz stream. Afterwards, it goes past the Grafenbrücker Mill to the Grafenbrücker lock. Here we use the pedestrian bridge and walk towards Marienwerder. Attention! The path for pedestrians and cyclists forms a small detour. Since the unpaved road is hardly used, it can be used.
At the church, the northernmost point of the tour is reached, and we turn back towards Sophienstädt. After 100 m, you reach the highly recommended inn "Zum Goldenen Anker". Here, very tasty home-style cooking is offered at fair prices.
After a refreshing break, the route continues along a sandy forest path past an unnamed lake to a campsite located by the Kiessee and past it back to Sophienstädt.
