The access paths to the Glockenberghütte (Gau-Bischhofsheim) were signposted in 2014 as a variant of the RheinTerrassenWeg.

The route to the lookout hill can also be very well accessed via the path from Bodenheim station.

Part of the hiking tour runs along the Little Mainz Heights Trail, which in this section follows natural paths.

This short circular hike gives an impression of the Rheinhessen hiking trails RheinTerrassenWeg and Little Mainz Heights Trail.

From the Glockenberghütte, hikers can also continue on the Little Mainz Heights Trail towards Mainz-Ebersheim.

The paths, including their access paths, are marked in both directions according to the hiking trail guidelines of Rhineland-Palatinate:

    - Signposts, with directional arrows if necessary, always in the hiker's line of sight

    - At all junctions, arrow signposts with distance information

    Author’s recommendation

The rest area at "Bodenheimer Hoch" and the shelter "Glockenberghütte" invite you to take a break, where you can enjoy a panoramic view from the Taunus over the Frankfurt skyline to the Odenwald. A small picnic makes the pause twice as enjoyable.

    Roadbook

From Bodenheim station, there is a signposted access path to the edge of the town and further to the RheinTerrassenWeg.

On the RheinTerrassenWeg, the route initially heads towards Nackenheim, and after a few meters, there is a turnoff to the Glockenberghütte shelter.

After a short climb, the access path meets the Little Mainz Heights Trail. The two paths run parallel up to the Glockenberghütte.

From the shelter, the access path to the RheinTerrassenWeg follows farm tracks back to Bodenheim. Back at the town's edge, you can either choose the access path directly to the station or make a detour via the "Dollesplatz."
