The path leads us from the town hall square via Pfaffenhofener Straße to Singenbach. At the popular adventure playground, we take a first break. Over a small bridge, we reach Alberzeller Straße and follow it until we reach the idyllic bike path. The bike path, embedded in impressive nature, leads us to the small district of Klenau. Along the way, numerous benches invite you to rest again and again. We continue hiking uphill on the quiet road from Klenau to Arnsried and Eulenthal before descending back to Singenbach. At the town entrance, we continue our way to Singenbach Castle. We cross the Gerolsbach again and choose the bike path towards Gerolsbach. Here we can once again let our gaze wander over the Gerolsbach valley before finally replenishing ourselves in one of the inns. According to a legend, the robber knight Gerold wreaked havoc here in Gerolsbach at Gerolseck Castle during the Middle Ages. In 2011, archaeologists found evidence of the Münchshöfener culture in the district of Singenbach, indicating an even older settlement structure, namely from 6,000 years ago.

Interesting facts: The oldest resident is more than 14 million years old. In the district of Junkenhofen, researchers succeeded with the "Junkenhofener Urelefanten" in finding one of the oldest and rarest specimens. It is currently housed in the Augsburg Natural History Museum.
