The Eulenfels route is a premium hiking trail that runs as a circular route from the city park in Eppenbrunn. It takes you over narrow natural paths to the somewhat hidden viewpoint on the Eulenfelsen, where there is an excellent view over the surrounding forests. Halfway along the route is the PWV hiking lodge Hohe-List, which invites you to discover Palatinate culture with regional specialties. Another great view is from the Christkindlfelsen, which is especially a popular spot for families during the pre-Christmas season.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Always behave considerately, friendly, and attentively towards everyone you meet on your way.
- Respect nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
- Take a trash bag with you and carry your waste back home.
- Please keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- For your own safety, observe all path closures, even on weekends.
- Park only in designated parking areas. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
- Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

General information:
Especially in autumn, pay attention that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees can still fall or branches can drop later. Particularly with adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain sections are not passable for you, you should avoid them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forest work or hunting societies on this platform. Still, there are situations where hiking trails are closed, and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please observe the instructions for your own safety.

Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing as well as sun and rain protection. Although there is gastronomy directly on the path with the PWV hiking lodge Hohe-List, it is still recommended to carry a backpack with sufficient provisions.
The path is well marked in both directions, but it is still advisable to have a hiking map or a smartphone with a suitable app with you.
