Eisenburger Forest Loop

The Eisenburger Forest Loop starts from the parking lot west of Eisenburg, after 50 m on the bike path, turning left into the city forest. Over good forest roads, it goes steeply uphill past the two municipal water reservoirs to the meadows west of Eisenburg. The route runs along these back into the foundation forest, then follows west and northwest the valley of the Lauterbächle. Through forest paths, it now leads to the fields east of Steinheim with a wide view into the Memmingen dry valley. Passing resting benches, at the southwestern forest edge with a view over the city of Memmingen to the magnificent Kronburg, it goes back to the starting point.
