Eibergrunde

At the beginning of the route, we hike into the forest on the family adventure path Holzwurm Trail. Passing the Holzwurm hut, the Holzwurm Trail and the Eibergrunde then separate. On the Dobler footpath, we hike up the Eiberg. As idyllic as the forest path is, it is also quite strenuous. A bit of stamina is required here. Over the Katzelbuckel we reach the top, on the Eiberg. There, a historic monument already awaits us. It was built in 1943 in memory of the fallen war victims. The route continues through the idyllic forest towards the Sitzbankhütte. Along wide forest paths, it goes past two historic boundary stones up to the Sitzbankhütte. Between the tall trees, there is a great view down into the Enz valley. This place is also well suited for a short rest with a snack break. Descending leads over the Franzosenbuckel and to the Waldklassenzimmer before the route leads back to the starting point of the hike, the Enztalhalle.
