- We start at the Straubinger Haus and first walk with little elevation eastwards around the Eggenalmkogel.
- After about 1 km, it is recommended to take a break on the bench in front of the wooden gate, as the following 500 m gently downhill require a bit more concentration and there are hardly any opportunities to linger along the narrow path.
- At the fork after about 1.7 km, keep left. This small saddle is also very suitable for a lengthy break.
- The next 500 m, the path winds gently uphill through the dwarf mountain pines until the next fork.
- Then go left for about 200 m, relatively steep but still safe, up the mountain to the cross at the boundary stone.
- The last 200 m from here to the summit are flatter again. Behind the summit, you can explore a small abandoned hut.
- From the summit back to the fork and from there, with the Straubinger Haus always in sight, through exciting, varied but safe terrain back to the starting point.

Safety information
The small passage after the wooden gate on the steeper east slope of the Eggenalmkogel has some somewhat exposed spots. If the children are not yet sure-footed, it is advisable to possibly hold their hand at these points.Tips and suggestions
