The Ederplan rewards with a great panorama. Lienz Dolomites, Schober group, Goldberg group within reach. Slightly longer alternative to the ascent via the East Tyrol side from the Zwischenberger Sattel. Approx. 1 hour 45 minutes. Only above the forest line are you rewarded with a view.

Approximately 500 meters after the last farm we park - 1680m. This is the area just below the Zwischenberger Sattel, unfortunately marked by the high-voltage power line from East Tyrol to Carinthia. From here we first follow the forest road until we reach a larger private alpine pasture - approx. 1680m, 45 min. From here we follow the path, first steeper in switchbacks gaining elevation. From about 1900m it flattens again, going around the ridge and crossing from the Carinthian to the East Tyrol side, reaching the summit.
The descent goes via the Anna hut - approx. 10 min. and the East Tyrol side to the Zwischenberger Sattel - approx. 1 hour. Keeping the parking lot in sight, we stay right on the path and reach the Zwischenberger Lacke. From here, following the power line, another 15 minutes downhill to the parking lot on the Winklern side.
Directions
Coming from Iselsberg, turn right before the last hairpin bend before Winklern. A narrow road follows to the farms at Zwischenberger Sattel.Parking
