No, this mountain does not do justice to its noble name! Its position far to the north and the lifts above Nesselwang make it a very popular and quick destination for the people of Ostallgäu. However, the once famous view is now somewhat limited by spruce trees. The mountain itself is not particularly attractive: a forest-covered peak, but broken up by many clearings. The long, stretched south route coming up from Jungholz is much quieter. It's just a pity that the lovely, enchanted grassy spots at the lower part of the ridge—with the most beautiful view of the Sorgschrofen—are increasingly overgrown by spruce forest.
From the parking lot in Langenschwand, we walk on the little road almost flat towards the east and reach a signposted junction at 1130 m. Here we keep left towards "Stubental-Alpe 35 min, Reuterwanne 1.30 h and Edelsberg 2 h". Slightly ascending, we gain height on the still asphalted, narrow road. In a left curve at 1248 m, just below the Stubentalalpe (10 min detour), we leave the road to the right. On a wide forest track, we walk eastwards. About 200 meters after the left curve, we leave the track again at a signpost to the right. On a path, we ascend to the bright forest edge. The path bends slightly to the left (northeast) in the mountain forest. Over the weakly defined ridge, we ascend further and finally reach a clearing on the crest with a magnificent view of, for example, Säuling and Zugspitze. We go over the meadow, keeping left, briefly downhill to a forest track, follow it to the left and thus walk towards the already visible Dinserhütte. About 200 m before the hut, we leave
