The Eckwald circular route leads through the enchanting, south-located Eckwald in a mid-mountain location.
At the highest point of the Eckwald you can expect a wonderful panoramic view of the town Altenmarkt and the surrounding mountain world: Roßbrand, Hoher Dachstein - Bischofsmütze and Tennengebirge.

From the starting point Ameisenberg to Zauchtalerhof, slightly ascending paved road (600 m). From there to the Eckwald forest trail. Then forest trail around the Eckwald and back to the starting point.
