There are a few interesting points for me with the easternmost, southernmost, northernmost, and westernmost points of Austria. I have already described the highest of these points, which is located below Bad Vellach, elsewhere. This time I chose the lowest point.Roadbook
Starting point is at the municipality. From there, a little more than 100 meters to a wide, unpaved field path leading to the right towards the border. At the border, follow right along the Slovak border stones to the easternmost point of Austria, which is reached after about 1.5 hours. Now southwest along the Hungarian border to the Leitha Canal. Shortly after crossing the somewhat dilapidated bridge, a few hundred meters to the road leading to Karlhof. From there back to the village.
Alternative: The road from Karlhof to the village can be left after about 700 meters by a field path to the right, to go left into the village after another 450 meters in dry weather.
