Tips and suggestions
In the harbor of List, there are excursions to the seals and oyster beds.Roadbook
From the bus stop, we walk to the Natural Forces Center. Between the center and the sea, a path leads to the dike. We follow the dike crest until we reach the road.
On the other side of the road, a pedestrian and bike path runs along the street to the youth hostel. We follow the road until the toll road to the Ellenbogen branches off to the right.
Right beside the toll road is a small footpath. We follow it and then go down to the Wadden Sea without a path.
Now we go along the mudflat. In doing so, we cross a water arm, the Husumer Mühlenau (possibly problematic at high tide).
Where the road meets the shore again (small parking lot), we cross the dune belt at a marked crossing north to the beach.
Turning left, we follow the beach to the northernmost point of Germany. Continuing along the beach, we reach the List nudist beach and the crossing over the dunes at the Weststrandhalle.
Going down the dunes, we meet our outward path again at the toll station and follow it back to the youth hostel.
We turn right and walk between the last two buildings towards the youth campsite. Passing the campsite on the right, a path leads into the dunes and up wooden steps to a viewpoint.
Down the stairs, we are on Mövenbergstraße. We follow it towards the village center and turn left at the second street (Am Brünk). The first street on the right (Am Buttgraben) we only go as far as the path, which leads left through the row of houses after the first house. At the end of the path, it goes diagonally right on a small path to a shed, which we go around on the left. Through a small grove, winding paths lead to the Landwehrdike, which shortly afterwards turns left into the old village street.
At the end of the Old Village Street, we meet the Natural Forces Center again and turn right to the harbor.
