The Black Forest gourmet trail and premium hiking route "Durbacher Weitblick" was opened in April 2018. The easy hike covers a distance of about 11 kilometers around the wine village of Durbach. The start and end point is the Festplatz in Durbach. The "Durbacher Weitblick" is shorter than the "Durbacher Wine Panorama", which winds through the vineyards on the opposite side of the valley (about 15 km, 5 hours). So if you have less time, the "Durbacher Weitblick" (about 4 hours) is just the right choice, especially as you can shorten the round or individually design one or another "loop" along the way. However, the "Weitblick" offers some more altitude meters. Right at the beginning, it goes straight up to the Heidenknie Pavilion, the highest point of the circular hike. Wonderful are the constantly new views down to Durbach and across to Staufenberg Castle. At the pavilion, a beautiful shelter at Heidenknie, you might want to spend the whole day.
