The new four-seater chairlift from Losenheim to the Fadensattel on the Schneeberg is a rarity in the realm of Vienna's local mountains. The crossing of the Dürren Leiten is significantly shortened by using it. From the summit of this mountain, you can enjoy a fascinating view of the Schneeberg. Later, at the dreamy Mamauwiese, leisure is in order before you trust the cozy forest path back to Losenheim.
From the mountain station of the Salamanderlift on a wide footpath up westwards in several switchbacks to the Edelweißhütte, 1235 m, and a little further to the fork at Fadensattel. Take the red-marked road no. 01 and 231 down to the right (north) into the actual Fadensattel, 1209 m, and beyond up to the Almreserlhaus, 1222 m. Continue straight on the footpath and ascend over the Putzwiese to the summit of the Dürren Leiten, 1252 m. Beyond downward along the forest ridge to a path junction. Left steeply northeast down to the "Römerstraße" near the former Sebastiankreuz, 940 m. On it, go left over the Mamauwiese, then on a trail to the right to the Berggasthof Mamauwiese, 957 m. Back to the former Sebastiankreuz and continue straight on the "Römerstraße" to a path junction. Right steeply southwest in the forest up to a shoulder, 975 m, and beyond descend the Schabrunstwiese, later through the forest right (south) down to the Gschaiderhof, 831 m.
