On the path over narrow trails through the Black Forest highlands, you will find interesting rock formations such as the "Hohe Fels", the "Iltisfels", the "Teufelsfels", and the "Eulenfels." Along the way, you also pass a Marian grotto and a red deer enclosure.
At the Wild- and Hiking Park parking lot outside of Weiskirchen stands the entrance portal of the path made of thick tree trunks. Behind the Petri hut with barbecue area and fishing pond in Rappweiler-Zwalbach, the trail runs along the "barefoot path".
Behind the "Old Bakershop" of Waldhölzbach, the path climbs steeply through the forest to the Teufelsfels, a bizarre rock formation that offers unexpected panoramic views.
From the Teufelsfels, it goes down into the valley of the Hölzbach. You cross the stream using stepping stones that lie as if casually placed in the Hölzbach.
The Hölzbachtal is left via a longer uphill section. It ends at the Wild- and Hiking Park, which is circled around. In the spacious terrain on the ridge between the Hölzbachtal and Holzbachtal, powerful wisents are well camouflaged in the undergrowth.
Along the Saarland-Rhineland-Palatinate border, the trail goes downhill to the next stream valley.
Several hundred meters of altitude still need to be overcome until the tour’s starting point.
The path has been rated with 72 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.

Attention:
Entering the forest and hiking on the trails is fundamentally at your own risk!
Depending on the season and weather, increased surefootedness is required in some trail sections. Therefore, wear clothing and hiking boots appropriate to the season and weather with suitable tread. Caution is required due to breaking branches and damaged trees. In stronger wind and in winter due to snow and ice, the dangers from falling trees and branches increase.

Roadbook
We start through the entrance portal of the Two-Valleys-Path and first hike to the left, parallel to the parking lot of the Wild- and Hiking Park. On a narrow path, we meet a barrier where we turn right into a hollow way. It now goes steeply downhill. At a curve, the Two-Valleys-Path branches off to the right. We hike steeply down the slope and walk on a wide path. Before the Kneipp facility with barbecue area, called "Ochsenecken," it goes over an asphalt road onto a natural path that leads directly past a meadow. Through a forest area, a path leads us downhill. We cross the Rappweiler-Waldhölzbach road and continue straight over a meadow towards the pond area of the Rappweiler-Zwalbach angling club. Here we keep right on a wider path.
The Two-Valleys-Path now leads us through a nature reserve. Past the barefoot hiking path, we reach the inn "Forellenhof." We cross a road here. We pass a Marian grotto. Above the bakery, it goes parallel to the rock path again to the right into the forest. A small, steep ascending path leads us up to the Teufelsfelsen. Following the narrow path further, we descend back into the Hölzbachtal and follow the Two-Valleys-Path to the left. Uphill it goes to the Kneipp facility, where we change the side of the stream. At the upper end of the Hölzbachtal, on the Rhineland-Palatinate side, it goes up the slope over a narrow forest path. Through a mixed forest, we reach a clearing. Past carved wooden figures, it continues along the outer fence of the red deer enclosure in the Wild- and Hiking Park. We pass several rest benches. After crossing a wider path of the Wild- and Hiking Park, we enter a dense forest. The path leads us to the Weiskirchen-Zerf road, which we cross. On the other side of the stream, it runs along the border to Rhineland-Palatinate downhill. A path winds down to the Holzbachtal. Above the Hohe Felsen, we steeply descend left, where we pass a bridge. On the other side, we turn right before the Iltisfelsen and follow the Holzbachtal downstream. Following the Holzbach on the left side further uphill into the slope, we pass some wet spots using stepping stones. At the "Polizeibrücke" (Police Bridge), we cross the connecting path from Holzbachtal to the Hochwald clinics and continue on the left side of the stream.
Before the Kneipp facility we turn right over a bridge and now follow the Holzbach over a narrow, slightly ascending path. Past the "Hermeswiese" we climb the slope until we cross the wide middle path and hike up a densely overgrown path to the Eulenfelsen. After a steep ascent, we meet the broad "Schlangenpfad" (Snake Path), which we follow to the left. At a large junction, we keep right on a wider path before turning into a spruce stand after about 100 m. After crossing the road, we return at the upper end of the Wild- and Hiking Park parking lot to the starting point of the Two-Valleys-Path.
