Since some people had problems finding the dream loop from the parking lot "Tarfort Sports Ground", I have integrated it into the GPS recording. In addition, this parking lot also has its advantages in the form of a terrace with dining options nearby. Also, this "peak" towards Korlingen is included in the recording because this plague cross, which is previously mentioned on the viewing and resting place on the information board, is located exactly there. Our hiking direction went immediately uphill to the Naumetter Kupp

As already said, the GPS route is marked from the parking lot "Sports Ground Tarforst". Effectively, the dream loop is not immediately found, first you have to find the yellow signs. From then on, however, it is well marked up to the start-end point. Of course, top views in all directions, but also some beautiful forest passages are included in this hike. These also discussed 3-times necessary road crossings are necessary for this route, but are not without challenges! In heat and rain as well as strong wind, parts of the trail are exposed for kilometers, so please prepare for weather extremes. Unfortunately, this "plague cross" is not indicated on the hiking trail by a signpost, therefore it is included here in the GPS track.
Author’s recommendation
A detour to the restaurant at the sports field in Tarforst is highly recommended.

Since many unprotected, exposed paths are exposed to weather extremes and in heat, be sure to think of enough drinks.Roadbook
We cross the road at the sports parking lot and follow the street "An der Pferdsweide", the street in front of the island is also crossed and then continues on the street "Auf der Mäswiese" towards the village of Filsch, where the actual start-end point of the dream loop is located. Shortly before Filsch, we go uphill on mostly exposed paths and trails. Walking along a forest (unfortunately not through the forest), then finally into a forest area, we pass the walls of a former refuge castle and come to the top of Naumeter Kupp. There you can relax and enjoy the view of the village of Waldrach. It continues over a beautiful path downhill, where you can occasionally see the (wine) castle Marienlay as well as the village Morscheid in the sight. The route continues again over unprotected meadow paths with varying inclines. Along this passage, you also pass the "Korlinger Wacken", discovered only in 2012. You also pass the quarry "Weber", unfortunately hidden by a lot of shrubs, so that a nice view is denied. At the top of this partial ascent, almost 400 m high, there is a rest area where you can rest again. The information board describes a plague cross, which is unfortunately located a bit off the hiking trail and not so easy to find. Then you go downhill about 500 m, where we then make a detour upwards to the aforementioned cross and then back to the hiking trail. After reaching the other hiking parking lot, which is quite exposed, the probably most respectful road crossing of the hike awaits us because the L143 is heavily traveled. It is worth mentioning that you practically have the villages "Irsch - Kernscheid - Tarforst - Filsch" partly or fully in view along a hiking distance of about 3.5 km. The hiking section a bit after the road crossing along the forest is made a bit more entertaining with wood carvings and a nice bench. At the end of this elevation section, which runs about 100 m away from the L143 in parallel, we are at the highest point of the hike (409 m), then it goes steeply downhill. We decided on this direction of hiking as it avoids the longest ascent. Beautiful forest passages follow into the valley and a bit uphill again, a short piece goes on a bike path along a farm towards Irsch. This way is left again (barely visible on the right is the artificial turf pitch Trier-Irsch), and it goes again steeply downhill to the valley, where the lowest point of the hike is also located. After crossing a stream, it goes uphill, where we must cross the L143. Always uphill on a path, where on the left side you see a valley cut of a stream, then it sharply turns right towards the end point in Filsch. At the end of a beautiful forest path, we reverently linger in front of a proud oak about 400 years old. Then it goes along a forest to the start-end point, where we must cross a road again. Just walk back the feeder path, then you can make a detour to a restaurant with a terrace about 150 m away from the parking lot.
