The Ehrbach is perhaps the wildest tributary of the Moselle. A magnificent trail takes us through its gorge with waterfalls and picturesque rocks. But the adventure is far from over! On beautiful, narrow paths, we pass numerous viewpoint rocks.
Behind the shelter at the hiking parking lot in Oppenhausen, we turn right. At the next crossroads, we continue straight ahead between fruit trees. At a hiking lounge, we turn left and reach the forest, where we keep to the right downhill. At a rest area, we go briefly up onto the Beulslay rock, from which we have a view of the Brandengrabenmühle in the valley. To the left, it goes back to the hiking trail and continues downhill from there. After a right turn, we switch right onto a path and pass the Stierwiese hut. Across this meadow, we reach the Ehrbach; here we can take a right over the wooden bridge for a detour to the Eckmühle. We come to a stone bridge, but do not cross it; instead, we take the path straight ahead. After the first rocky section with a small ladder, the valley widens again before narrowing to the Ehrbach gorge. The narrow, rocky path leads us always along the northern bank upstream. At two benches, we see a small waterfall of the Teufelsschlucht on the left.
