The „Dolinenweg“ leads its visitors with a great view through the gentle hilly landscape near Nennig. The route offers wonderful views into the Moselle valley, rustic woods, wide orchards, and the region-typical vineyards.
A special highlight is the geological feature of the „Doline“. This term describes funnel-, basin- or chimney-shaped cavities in karst rock with an underground water outlet. They are formed by dissolution processes in karstifiable subsoil. The exciting route begins and ends at Renaissance Castle Berg. The last meters on the route through the vineyards offer an impressive view of the castle complex.
