The first stage of the trail leads to the youngest volcano Železná hůrka (Iron Hill), which is probably only 100,000 years old; the slag heap is located just behind the border in the Czech Republic in a hollow. Passing the dilapidated Kyselecký hamr (Säuerlingshammer) and the bubbling sour spring (Kyselecký pramen), we finally reach the idyllic Stabnitztal and the village of Doubrava with its charming half-timbered houses.
From the car park at the border crossing with GEOPARK information board, we follow the yellow marking across the border. Shortly afterwards, an arrow on a tree indicates "200 m Železná hůrka" to the left. A path leads down between a field and a strip of forest to the Eisenbühl volcano (Železná hůrka). Back at the junction, we continue following the yellow-marked trail to the Mýtina crossroads located behind a hill. On a straight tarmac road, we turn right here down to the Kyselecký hamr (Säuerlingshammer) junction. Following the yellow marking to the left, we soon find on the right side of the path a cellar vault of the former hammer mill Kyselecký hamr. The trail continues over the Stabnitz stream, then a detour to the strongly bubbling Kyselecký pramen spring is worthwhile. About 5 minutes later, the trail divides. We turn left and continue following the yellow marking along the meandering brook. We walk through a pasture, turn left onto a cross path and cross the Stabnitz. A meadow
