The starting point is the bus stop "Bruggerbrücke" in Außermühlwald. Cross the wooden bridge at Bruggerhof and follow the marking number 65. It goes steeply uphill through the forest, first to the Lower Bruggeralm, then further up to just before the Upper Bruggeralm. The path then continues slightly more gently in a southwest direction, past the Weng Alm. From now on, follow the marking number 66 past Wengsee until the path splits after a short ascent. To the left branches the well-marked path (without path number) to Donnerschlag. You pass through a varied landscape of stone pine and dwarf pine forest, alpine rose and juniper bushes, as well as plants found in gneiss rock. The summit cross comes into view soon, and after about 1:15 hours you reach the mountain peak near the deep blue waters of Wengsee, close to our path. The good view rewards the effort of the ascent. The return route is the same as the ascent path up to the fork. From there, take path number 2A to Alm ZU KASERN. Path number 2 leads directly to the center of Mühlwald to the bus stop.
