At the very beginning of the second stage, you are immersed in the experience of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites, as they allow a deep insight into their eventful history, which spans hundreds of millions of years, through a huge geological outcrop at the Würzjoch. After crossing the 2100 m high Göma-Joch, the peaks of the St. Kreuzkofel massif to the left appear all the more imposing. The path to the Schlüter Hut leads towards the setting sun in the west, flanked by the glowing Aferer and Villnösser Geislern.
The second section of the hike on the Dolorama Weg leads from the Maurerberghütte to the Schlüterhütte. You first hike in a south-westerly direction to the Würzjoch and from here you take the Peitlerkofel circular trail around this imposing rock formation. Following trail marker 35, you then reach the Schlüterhütte in around an hour.
