Roadbook
From the starting point, walk about 100 meters towards the forest and into the forest. At the first fork, go left, then follow a wide path to the right, after 200 meters turn sharply left and then follow the wide path to the right. Leave the forest to the right, then after about 100 meters go back left into the forest. Now go straight ahead to a crossing (here the path from Weimar comes up on the right). At the crossing, turn left uphill, along the climbing rocks of the Helfensteine and past the glider camp. Now switch to the meadow at the Café Helfensteine and hike always near the road to a gate through which you leave the meadow. You now continue directly left of the road on a narrow path downhill to a shelter. There go a short distance left on the Alpen path, which is left at the first opportunity on the right downhill. Now follow the forest edge near the railway southwest, following the habichtswaldsteig extra route H 2. The path leads uphill to the asphalt road and along it back to the starting point.
