From Dirlewang it goes eastwards over the Galgenberg to Helchenried. There the circular route meets the Kneipp hiking trail and follows it in the direction of southwest. Over hilly meadows, after about 2/3 of the route the Mindel is reached with a newly constructed flood protection dam. This is intended to protect Dirlewang from unwanted floods. Shortly after the western end of the dam, the circular route turns north, back to Dirlewang. In Dirlewang, it is worth taking a look at the parish church of St. Michael and stopping by the local gastronomy.
