In Kempten, 700 m, at the Schumacherring / Lenzfrieder Straße bus stop, we take the railway crossing towards Bachtelweiher. Following the pedestrian path along Bachtelmühlstraße, we turn into the street "Am Bachtelweiher" after the railway bridge. A farm road leads along the left lakeshore. We cross the railway bridge and immediately afterwards pass the motorway underpass. A meadow trail leads us to the hamlet of Bernholz and a residents' street to Minderbetzigau. Entering Betzigau, 728 m, we take the footpath interrupted by the railway underpass. At the church, we head towards Stein and at the town hall follow Bachtelweg. After a climb, the sign "Stein" in Heinzelberg points to a farm road. Above the ravine of the Betzigauer Bach, we reach the Völkkapelle chapel. The slightly unclear route now ascends past a property to the hamlet of Stein. Soon after, at the forest edge, the massive Dengelstein, 860 m, also called Denkelstein, is reached.Back at the first fork, a residents' street
