The scenically attractive circular hike leads about 22 km from the shore of the Möhne lake into the extensive forests of Arnsberg Forest Nature Park. It passes the dam of the Möhne lake, the Himmelpforten monastery ruins, and the Landscape Information Centre. Along the way, you can take in views from the impressive dam or take a boat trip on the Möhne lake. Between Niederense and Güne, the forest opens to an agricultural landscape of meadows and fields, offering wide views over the whole region. In good weather, it is worth having swimwear packed.
