Croda d’Ancona
If you search the area around the source valleys of the Bòite for lookout mountains, you will inevitably come across Croda d’Ancona. Located south of the Hohe Gaisl, opposite the Sasso della Para, it can be easily reached on unmarked paths from the Malga Ra Stua. Take the unmarked path gently upwards in a southerly direction to the circular meadow Ciadis (ideal playground for children with amusing climbing rocks!) beneath the walls of Croda d’Ancona. Across the meadow, then on trail traces (cairns) upwards the scree slopes to a pronounced path section. On it (cairns, faded markings) cross the northwest flank of the mountain to the right, later over light rock steps to the west shoulder of Croda dei Ciadis, 2154 m. Upwards on trail or trail traces on the west ridge under the steep summit construction. On its
