Covelo and Mill Path
Rete di Riserve Bondone
A peaceful walk through villages, lush vegetation and ancient buildings.
The itinerary winds through inhabited houses, rich vegetation, breathtaking small glimpses and unusual panoramas. The two mills, moreover, one located where you leave your car and the other at the end of the walk, are witnesses of a remote era, thus contributing to creating a fascinating and suggestive atmosphere. It is also important to highlight the presence of a very important habitat: the petrifying springs. Along the small road leading to the old mill, in fact, an ideal situation has formed for the development of a particular type of moss which, thanks to the presence of the dripping phenomenon and the hardness of the water, has given shape to a very particular structure that extends over the path.

Roadbook
After leaving the car at Mulino Frizzi, continue along the road that led you to the mill itself. The road, partly dirt and partly paved, is not busy and will take you to the hamlet of Frizzi. After passing the village, the road joins another secondary road and by following it without turning, you will reach the main road. Walking along the sidewalk, go downhill and then turn right at the second street. This is a secondary road that leads to the hamlet of Covelo. Following it you will reach the central area of the hamlet, characterized by the presence of a solitary bell tower; opposite the latter, on the right, take a small road that winds through the vineyards and descends almost to the provincial road. Then following the sign "Molin Vecio," walk along a white road with a fence, which runs alongside the Arione stream, entering the vegetation and leading to what remains of an ancient mill. Continuing on the road, past the last small bridge, the road becomes a path and begins to climb. The path, after an initial uphill section, makes a wide turn to the right. At the end of the second uphill section, keeping left, you will reach the provincial road. At this point, turn right and then again right after 700 m, thus resuming the road that leads back to Mulino Frizzi where you left your car.
