The shoreline reveals itself from two very different sides in a small area on this little tour. To the north, small sandy coves hide under the protection of massive granite rocks, inviting swimming when the sea is calm. To the south, the Atlantic rages unchecked among the shallow rocky reefs. The granite block called Con Negro acts like a mighty barrier separating the two distinct beach characters. At the southern end of the path stands a cannon since 1936. It is still functional and occasionally used for practice purposes.
From the parking lot at Con Negro, we first follow the small path to the right. It takes us in a few minutes to the beautiful sandy cove Praia de Barreiro, where we either continue along the path at the upper edge of the beach or directly on the sand and meet the main path again at the end of the beach. Shortly after, the path forks at a sign. Straight ahead leads to the Praia de Castiñeira 50 m away. To the right, the main path turns off to the small loop over Cacheirás: Ignoring all side paths, you reach Cacheirás in about 10 minutes, passing small cornfields, pine groves, and granite rocks uphill. There, turn left and at the power pole by the white new building turn left again. At the next fork keep left, and at the fork by the power pole right, then left, and so you reach an inconspicuous path which we take to the left (straight ahead and right possibly marked with an X). It can be very overgrown with thorny bushes and leads down to Praia de Castiñeira. There, turn left and back to
