This circular route leads to the best viewpoints above the small coastal town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. From the coastal road in the south of the town, the route runs north along the picturesque coastline, both rocky and sandy, passing a villa district, then through Mediterranean pine forest up to the well-signposted Coll de Portes, the highest point of the route. On the descent, we constantly look down at the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and the rocky coast. Along the way, we pass several dreamlike viewpoints where it is worth taking a rest. On the way back, we visit the small chapel of Sant Elm. The plateau on which it stands is another fabulous viewpoint, especially suited for unique photo motifs. Finally, we hike again past villas and later along the coast until after about 3 hours (which can of course be extended indefinitely due to many photo breaks) we reach our starting point at the harbour again.
