Ciucaș

We start from the pass height at a large parking lot. From there, it goes towards Ciucaș, marked as 4.5h. At first, it goes along a track, slightly ascending, to a mobile phone mast, then right onto a footpath. Soon, some beautiful rocks come into view. Now it goes up and then about 2h always slightly up and down over several hill chains, until at the very back the destination comes into view, the Ciucaș. The rocks on the right are the Tigăile Mari. It turns left into a bend and then gets a bit steeper up to the summit again. There is no path to the Tigăile Mari, but we went towards the hut (Cabana Ciucas) and then turned left uphill; the path is only suitable for sure-footed persons with good footwear and no fear of heights.
You can either go down to the hut and reconnect to the outward path below or go up again to the Ciucaș; in terms of altitude, it is roughly the same. However, you can drive to the hut by car, so there are quite a few people there.
We go the upper way and then back the whole way.
In total, we took 4.5h, including summit break. However, we were rather brisk on the move.
