Circular hike Gerblingerode

We start our route at the parking lot in front of the Hahle Bridge in Gerblingerode heading towards Pferdeberg. Via a footpath Hoher Berg, it then goes uphill past the barbecue area, through a piece of forest, until we arrive at the Panorama Cafe: Beautiful views:. From there we follow the paved road that runs along the edge of the forest until we reach the entrance to the Borderland Museum. From here, we always follow the Kolonneweg of the former border, cross a federal road and hike towards Lindenberg. Through the forest, it then goes steeply uphill until we reach the Thomasberg shelter. Here is time for a break. Then we continue on the Kolonneweg until we meet several signposts. Here, we take the Musikantenweg towards Gerblingerode and always orient ourselves towards the church tower, where we return via Brückenstraße to the starting point at the Hahle.
