We start at the recommended Weißenbachwirt guesthouse and reach the highest point of the Jochwand via the comfortable north ridge. From the "summit" with a viewing terrace, we hike downhill on a trail to the village of Unterjoch, then down through the Rassinggraben to the Soleweg. Along this path, flat and slightly uphill along the Traun back to the Weißenbachwirt guesthouse.

We start directly at the Weißenbachwirt guesthouse and follow the yellow signpost (Soleweg) towards Bad Goisern, but after a few minutes a hiking trail branches off to the right (wooden signpost). On this, with a fairly gentle slope, over the north ridge to the wooden viewing terrace at the highest point of the Jochwand (808 m).
Past an abandoned house and a new barn, then a few meters up stairs and downhill on a hiking trail to the small village of Unterjoch. Now on the low-traffic asphalt road down through the Rassinggraben to the Soleweg.
From here, entirely flat on the Soleweg, always a bit above the Traun, back to the Weißenbachwirt guesthouse.
