Longeant au départ le canal des houillères et le chemin de fer, le circuit monte dans la forêt du Rembachswald continue dans le Grossbannwald et redescend vers le village en passant par le Rebberg. Il remonte ensuite en direction de la rue de Siltzheim pour s'engouffrer dans le grand Freiwald, longer un moment l'ancienne voie ferrée (Ligne Berthelming – Sarreguemines) transformée en piste cyclable puis remonter vers Rémelfing. Avant de regagner le centre du village et son château, le chemin fait une boucle sur l'emplacement d'anciennes positions de nids de mitrailleuses dont les ouvrages subsistent.
