As in many villages in the Quercy, public washing places have been preserved in the Causse de Limogne as evidence of everyday history. They are often equipped with V-shaped washing stones, so-called papillons (butterflies). The leisurely tour takes you past two well-preserved fountains with such washing places. Along the way, you can also admire other examples of stone architecture typical of the region: on the one hand, numerous cabanes, which protected farmers and shepherds in the fields from wind and water. And secondly, some well-preserved round dovecotes - an expression of wealth and prestige until the 19th century.
From the parking lot, turn right along the D911 through Limogne and towards Villefranche as far as the T-junction with the D19. Turn left 100 m further on towards Cajarc, then turn right before the school and immediately left again into the Chemin des Grèzes. On both sides of the path, the plants are marked with nameplates (sentier botanique). The asphalt soon ends. The first of many cabanes appears to the left of the path. We cross a small road and follow the signs for Fontaine de Malecargue into the sparse oak forest. Behind it, turn right along the road for 500 m, then take a sharp left onto the cart track (watch out for the wooden signposts). A few minutes later we are back on the D19, which we have to follow to the right for a good 400 m despite the traffic. Then just opposite the junction to Agarnel, take the grassy path on the right down towards Mas de Charron and Fontaine de Buzou. The path continues straight ahead until it meets a road a good 10 minutes later at the hamlet of
