The Camp César, a small loop that will give you height in the Somme Valley!
Let yourself be carried away by the peaceful atmospheres and changing landscapes of the valley. From the arid slopes of the larris, to the large marshes through the peaceful pastures of the Acon valley, all the diversity of the Somme Valley has gathered around Samara.
Camp César is a major site of Gallo-Roman history, interpretation tables located on the rampart will tell you more. While walking, you will cross a limestone hillside (or larris), which served as a natural rampart for Camp César. The scents of the Mediterranean vegetation that develop on this hillside are a true invitation to travel.
Meet at the Samara parking lot for the start.
Come by bike: an entrance to Samara is accessible from the towpath and a parking perfectly adapted to the park entrance.
