On the sunny south slope of the middle Bergell, there is another high trail besides the »Panoramica« (see tour »La Panoramica«), also marked: even more scenic, even more beautiful. However, its »height« must first be attained, and in summer, more than just a few drops of sweat flow during the ascent from Soglio via Plän Vest to the shepherd huts of Cadrin, 2127 m. But once you have left the tree line behind, the exhausting uphill climb soon turns into a pleasurable stroll in front of the grand parade of the famous Bergell climbing peaks.
The long ascent begins in the middle of Soglio, 1097 m (signpost), from which you soon look down onto the rooftops. The red-white marked path quickly gains altitude, crosses a small road, and climbs through the forest up to the huts of Tombal, 1537 m. With their dark weathered wood, the barns provide a photogenic foreground to the magnificent summit panorama. The same goes for Plän Vest, 1821 m: another place to linger and dream. The gradient then decreases; the old alpine path runs over a steep slope to the huts of Löbbia, crosses a stream, and then continues uphill through the forest. Through a rock barrier, the trail slips onto the meadow terrace of Cadrin, 2127 m, where the (marked) route to Pass da la Duana, 2694 m, and further into the secluded Duana valley branches off to the left. Magnificent is the view over the Bergell and its mountain backdrop, up to Piz de la Margna, 3158 m, the »guardian« over the Malojapass; the further route is also clearly visible, almost level,
