The alpine shelter Cabane de Moiry is managed by the Montreux section of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC). The original mountain hut with 35 beds was built in 1924. In 2010, an extensive renovation was carried out with a new, modern annex.

Roadbook
From the parking lot at Lac de Chateaupré, first take the wide path that stays to the left, crossing alpine meadows towards the spur of the eastern moraine ridge of the Moiry Glacier. Just before reaching the moraine ridge, you reach a place with lots of stone cairns. Here, the path narrows to a trail and after a short stretch over the moraine ridge, it goes left up the steep flank of the mountain slope. The trail leads in switchbacks up to the hut.
