Descend via the road taken to go up to the village. At the first bend, leave it and take the path that goes down following the direction "La Bastide" indicated by a sign. At the hamlet "Le Touron," join a road which you quickly leave again to continue straight on a pleasant track. Join a road which you leave after going around a mound: you re-enter a flat track. Below the hamlet of l'Estang, the track joins a road. Follow it to the hamlet. Cross the hamlet going uphill. On your left, leave the path of la Coustière (unless you are taking the variant) and continue climbing. At the last bend, take a poorly marked path that climbs toward the summit, leaving the last house on your right. This path climbs steadily up to the summit of Montagne de Brouis. Once the summit is reached, enter a dense forest. Be careful, in some places the path is lost, especially where the forest burned. The path is visible if you are vigilant... The idea is to keep the direction along the rock ridge. Just before Petit Brouis, the path starts a marked descent to the left. And you come out on the track of la Coustière at the level of a farm with horses and donkeys. Follow the la Coustière track to the chapel Notre-Dame des Sept douleurs. Cross the village, the castle, and stroll through the medieval village alleys... Marking: white-red (GR 49) from the village to the hamlet of l'Estang. From the hamlet to the village, the marking is blue, but almost nonexistent.
