Today we are lucky to be able to visit two castles in just over 3 hours of walking. We quickly leave the small town of Brugg to reach the forest by following a beautiful unpaved route. On both sides, we admire incredible carpets of wild garlic.
A small climb and we arrive at the small village of Habsburg and the castle of the same name. The view is splendid. A small restaurant can quench your thirst. A gentle descent across a vast plain leads us back into the forest. We then climb toward Flue from where the view of the Aar is impressive.
We walk very pleasantly through the forest on perfectly maintained paths and suddenly emerge at the rear of Wildegg castle, a marvel overlooking the town.
A visit to the castle is almost essential as it proves enriching and enjoyable. The gardens are at your disposal for a pleasant stroll below the building. Simply splendid.
In a few minutes, we reach Wildegg station to catch our train after a busy day.
