Teutschenthal (train station) - Langenbogen
From Teutschenthal station we follow the main road northwards. Soon we reach the town exit and the view opens up to the opposite ridges with the Höhstedter vineyards. We continue along the road, pass under federal highway 80 and reach Langenbogen. Here we walk straight through the village, past the community center to the sports field.
Langenbogen - Zappendorf
From the sports field a wide track leads us on the right past the paddock with the Galloway cattle. We enjoy wonderful views of the landscape. Nature is allowed to take its course here as it wishes. The path soon disappears into trees and bushes, on the right lies a body of water before it bends widely to the left again over open fields. We reach a rest area where we keep right, pass a horse farm and finally go left at the signpost towards Zappendorf.
Zappendorf - Köllme
Before we properly reach the village, we turn right again at the mining monument and walk on a beautiful educational trail into the neighboring Köllme.
Köllme - Bennstedt
There we cross the village towards the church. In the churchyard we can admire an ancient lime tree – a natural monument. Afterwards we keep left and walk on the limestone path out of the village and straight into the nature reserve. From the ridge that we soon reach, there are fantastic views in all directions. Then the path descends again and we reach Bennstedt.
Bennstedt - Lieskau
In Bennstedt we keep left and pass the kindergarten, later the sports field behind which we turn left again. Past the radio mast, the path leads on the right into open countryside. Here we would cross the A143 motorway if it were finished. When, at the height of the mighty power pylons, we turn our gaze right, we see the junction at the B80. Our path leads past a splendid compound with gardens and weekend plots, then turns left behind it. We now head towards the outskirts of Halle. At the crossroads we go right again and then along the forest edge to Lieskau.
Lieskau - Nietleben (urban)
Arriving in Lieskau, we leave the first houses to the left and finally walk on the Bergmann path right into the Dölau Heath. On a worn forest path it goes gently uphill until the forest clears again. Here we keep half left and walk up the ridge to Granauer Berg. From here there is a beautiful view of the western districts of Halle. Afterwards it goes downhill again and we reach the Halle district of Nietleben.
Nietleben - Saline (urban)
Behind the old and very remarkable Granau cemetery, the Pfads continues separated from the road on the left. We follow it until we turn left towards Heidesee. We circle it on the north side, then walk past Sandberg and after the playground turn left towards Gartenstadt. From here we pass the Heide-Süd settlement, then reach the Saale island Peißnitz, which we cross or on which we linger. Arriving at Mansfelder Straße, we finally turn left, cross the Saale river and reach our destination – the technical monument, the saltworks in Halle.
