Our walk today goes through the Brabant Biesbosch. After the St. Elizabeth flood in 1421, this area became a plaything of the tidal movement of ebb and flow with creeks, willow groves and reed fields. Partial poldering has taken place over time, but in recent years, much has been depoldered again for water overflow area and nature reserve. To get there, we first walk to the Kop van het Land to take the ferry to the Brabant side. We then walk a round through the Biesbosch, with the route going over various bridges of different creeks, to return to the ferry at Kop van het Land and end at the Dordrecht-Standspolders station after the crossing. At the Kop van het Land you can take the bus to Dordrecht-Centrum station; that is after about 15 km
