A walk over good paths, mostly wide and paved. The sections of 'single track' are limited. Sometimes you get the feeling you are walking on private land, but it is never the case. Nowhere are the paths difficult.
All in all, a very recreational walk, ideal for getting some fresh air.
No orientation difficulties are expected, the views allow perfect orientation. Possibly take care during hunting season in autumn and winter.

Start at Bouwel station.
Cross the Grobbendonk-Herenthout road and walk a little parallel to the railway on the Bloktsepad. A bit further you turn left into the fields.
Once you approach the farms of Echelpoel, turn 90° left on the edge of a meadow, the path is a bit lost here.
A bit further, cross the Blarendabberspad. You walk through a little alley.
Through the fields it goes to the first crossroad, here you turn left and walk into the forest. You see some older chalets there. Right, left, right past a nice picnic bench and a beautiful piece of forest and field.
You come back onto a paved road. A bit further at the junction turn left. Now it goes through the fields, past some large farms.
Past the mill take a right between a house and a meadow. You cross the Herenthouse Steenweg again.
After 500 meters turn right. At the corner with the Rostal, go briefly to the right and then immediately left. Between house and meadow runs a connecting path. You don’t enter the Zels Bos but follow a little further to the left towards the village center. Cross Capynestraat.
At the next junction go left and then the first right (you might miss it if you’re not paying attention). Follow Langedreef to the first old house on your right, there a path brings you back to the parking at the station.
