From the center of the village of Bottens, we head towards the Catholic church of Saint-Étienne before going straight ahead towards the nearby forest.
In its heart hides a welcoming shelter, equipped with beautiful picnic tables and a welcome fountain — an ideal break in the shade of the trees. We then leave this small wood to the north to reach the village of Poliez-le-Grand.
At the bottom of the village, instead of climbing towards the Riond-Bochat sports center, we continue straight ahead following the markings of the wheat path. A pretty trail then enters the forest and gently descends to the edge of the Talent river, at the level of the scouts' lodge.
We follow the right bank, pass in front of a small tennis center, then start a short climb in the Grésaley neighborhood. A few minutes later, we reach the LEB station. The little train — now quite modern — calmly takes us back to the heart of Lausanne.
