The Bodanrück-Runde leads to the highest points in the Radolfzell district and offers impressive views.
Liggeringen is the highest located district of Radolfzell. Slightly outside, at the hiking car park at the "Brand" barbecue area or, if arriving by city bus, in the center of Liggeringen, the Bodanrück-Runde begins. Up to the Bisonstube Bodanrück, the circular route runs together with the premium hiking trail SeeGang past fantastic viewpoints with views of Radolfzell, the Untersee, and the Alps. From the Bisonstube, it goes downhill on forest paths back to Liggeringen, where several restaurants offer opportunities to stop. In the village center, you can also find two interesting historic buildings, the Church of St. George and the Torkel.
For those who have less time or are traveling with children, there is the Muckeseckele-Runde, a family-friendly short version of the Bodanrück-Runde.

Tips and suggestions
The Bodanrück-Runde is one of the Radolfzell rounds. These are four circular hiking trails and a family-friendly short route with close signage that reliably brings hikers and walkers back to the starting point. A map with all important information is available at the Radolfzell Tourist Information. Route descriptions as well as maps and GPX data for download can be found at www.radolfzell-tourismus.de/radolfzellerrunden.
Roadbook
From the hiking car park, the path leads together with the premium hiking trail SeeGang into the forest and follows it to a clearing with a shelter and barbecue area, and further to a narrow ridge path. Here, the forest repeatedly opens up for views over Radolfzell, the Untersee, the Hegau, and as far as the Alps. It continues on a meadow path between the forest edge and pastures. At the end, it turns left; however, you should not stay on the wide forest road but take the parallel path, which repeatedly offers views of Lake Überlingen. From the Bisonstube Bodenwald (a place to stop), it goes along the bison pastures and further down a forest path to Liggeringen. From the forest edge, a meadow path with a stunning view leads through the Oberöschle nature reserve down to the outskirts. Please do not leave the paths in the nature reserve and keep dogs on a leash.
From the outskirts, follow the signs through the village and continue over field paths back to the starting point of the hike.
