Bock mountain notch

Directly behind the Natur& Wanderhotel Rainer the ascent to the Bock begins. Walk along the stream to the bridge over the Sennerbergbach, then a short stretch on an asphalt road to the barrier in Kaltenbrunn. From there, follow road no. 13 to Pernfiechtalm. Upon reaching the managed alpine pasture, follow the marked path through alpine meadows with many flowers and alpine roses to the rocky, highest point of the hike, the Bock. Wonderful panoramic view! Descent: On the other side of the Bock notch, take path no. 12a, first somewhat steeper down to Rossgrube, then along the valley floor of the Ontrattberg valley, past the spring to Ontrattalm at 1,642 m. From there, always stay on path no. 12a downhill and shortly before the valley end turn right on the so-called Bürglweg back to Hotel Rainer.
