The trail starts between Talvik school, kindergarden, playfield, and ballpark. Follow the path to the right and down to the river. Cross the river on the bridge and follow the path up two steep, short hills. The trip starts on easy, level terrain. Follow the ski lights appx 1.5km until you find a signpost that points the way, and the path rises moderatly from there to the top.
The hilltop is called Snaufjellet, with fantastic views to Vassbotndalen, Talvik village, and across Altafjord. There is a fine cairn to mark the top. From here you can wander further in across Talvikfjellene.
