The Bichlach circular hike is easy but a scenic delight - in every season. In summer there is soothing shade, in winter all hiking trails are cleared.

The Bichlach, located between Kitzbühel, Reith, and Oberndorf, is a gently hilly landscape - a relic of the Ice Age. The Bichlach is one of the most original areas of Kitzbühel and a correspondingly cherished and popular local recreation area.
Author’s recommendation
Most beautiful on days when you have an unobstructed view of the Wilden Kaiser.

The tour can be varied in many waysRoadbook
The tour leads from the parking lot at Schwarzsee to the west shore of the lake and then into the Bichlach. There are numerous options for choosing the path - the suggested one is therefore not binding. Follow the signposts towards "Gieringer Weiher." There are alternately farm driveways or forest paths. The most beautiful spot is the one with a view of the Erb farms, which proudly sit on a hill and form a perfect backdrop to the towering Wilden Kaiser behind them. It's hard to tear yourself away from the picture-book view - if you manage, you go left, that is west downhill to the Gieringer Weiher. From there, it is best to walk back along the well-known path, enjoy the view of the Erb farms again, and then go down eastwards to the Vogelsberger Weiher. The further path now reaches a crossroads where you preferably keep right towards Steuerberg. With a slight ascent, you are rewarded at the top with views of the Niederkaiser, the Wilden Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Horn, and to the south also the Hahnenkamm. From Steuerberg, head south through a settlement with presumably numerous second homes downhill. After the settlement, hike east and meet the familiar path and the north shore of Schwarzsee. The lake is walked along the east shore and thus returns to the starting point.
