Author’s recommendation
Free parking is available in the village center on the old schoolyard by St. Mauritius Church, very close to the starting point.
Small tip: Enjoy relaxing moments on the sky loungers along the way, relax your tired legs on the return journey with a foot bath through the water treading facility at Kirchberg, and round off this beautiful day trip with a visit to our well-kept, hospitable restaurants in Prinzbach or Biberach. Our snack bars and direct marketers also look forward to your visit.

Roadbook
Route marked by yellow lozenge:
Prinzbach Church – Kirchberg – Priesen – Gasthaus Kreuz, Biberach – former Brickworks – Protestant Youth Hostel – Geroldseck – Schlossberg – Schmiederhof - Ludwig Column – Am Rebio – Kirchberg – Prinzbach Church
The route first leads you from the starting point “Prinzbach Church” in Prinzbach via “Kirchberg” downhill to the Karl Knauer Pavilion. Then the hiking trail continues over the Kinzig footbridge to Biberach. On a stroll through the attractive and newly designed Biberach town center, the route crosses the Kinzig bridge again to the other side of the Kinzig. At the “former Brickworks,” you take an ascending path further to the Konrad Chapel, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view into the Kinzig valley. Afterwards, a forest path leads you to the Protestant Youth Recreation Home Geroldseck. From there, you can catch a first glimpse of the impressive fortress of the Hohengeroldseck castle ruins. Keep left here. After a short ascent, you will be generously rewarded with a magnificent view from the hilltop and can then explore the fairly well-preserved castle ruins. The descent from the ruins is via the castle path. This offers a lot of variety, especially for families with children. There is much to explore and discover: artworks, information boards, and games explain the legendary world of knights. At the end of this path, you reach the parking lot at the “Ludwig Column.”
Then the hiking trail runs about 200 m along the road (B 415), until a wide path leads right into the forest. After 300 m, at the “Am Rebio” junction, follow the sign with the yellow lozenge heading towards Prinzbach / “Kirchberg” and thus return to the starting point of our day route.
