The Beurener Waldrunde takes you through the Beuren/Hochwald state forest. The route leads you about 11.5 km through the Beuren district of the Hochwald forestry office, which is based in Dhronecken.
The circular hiking trail leads you to the "Graue Eltz," a quartzite rock typical for the Hochwald. Brave guests can climb the rock and enjoy the view over the treetops.
Continue your way along the "Sites of Inhumanity" of the SS special camp/memorial KZ Hinzert. Learn about the history of the former concentration camp from the information boards placed here.
The Hochwald forestry office informs forest visitors along the route about topics such as "Forest and Water," "Management of a Forest," and "Nature Conservation in the Forest." Discover the "Forest Giants" and learn which tree species are native here.
