The district of Wohldorf-Ohlstedt is located in the far north of Hamburg and is one of the wealthiest parts of Hamburg with its numerous villa properties. Surrounded by the Wohldorfer Forest nature reserve with many deciduous forests and the adjoining Duvenstedter Brook nature reserve, it was an early local recreational destination. This could be easily reached by an electrified light railway, which was finally closed in 1961. The Rade settlement already belongs to the Tangstedt municipality and attracts visitors with a popular excursion inn. The organic farm Gut Wulksfelde finally also allows shopping in the farm shop.
From the subway station, we go to the right along Alte Dorfstraße, then turn left into Im Busch street and proceed straight ahead into Wohldorfer Forest. The path marked with yellow arrows and "Bh" initially turns right in the forest, then curves left and reaches a junction from which a path leads right to the Wohldorf forest cemetery. Continue slightly left along the forest edge until the Ole-Boomgaarden-Weg joins the Brügkamp.Here follow the marking to the right to a wooden bridge over the Ammersbek, a 9 km long tributary of the Alster. Shortly after the wooden bridge, we leave the marked path to the left, heading straight along the forest edge until we reach the Duvenstedter Triftweg after 10 minutes. Turn left here (westwards), always along the edge of the Duvenstedter Brook, until a parking lot at the NABU information center Duvenstedter Brook.From there, turn right on the footpath beside the road (Wiemerskamper Weg) heading north.
